While Rockville High School in Maryland is dealing with a backlash against illegal immigrants sheltered within the district after a horrifying rape in a school restroom, ABC News reports that a California school is tackling a very different problem in the girls’ restroom atLaguna Hills High School: self-esteem.

The project was the idea of a member of the school’sKindness Club and involved plastering messages such as, “You are beautiful” and “You are enough,” in the school bathroom. The signs even cover the mirrors, so that girls see messages of positivity rather thantheir reflections.
